Children's Ministry
Our children’s ministry serves families with kids up to 6th grade. As a ministry, our mission is to partner with parents in making disciples of Jesus who love God, one another, and our city.
When and Where?
9:15AM - 10:15AM
Nursery care and Sunday school is available in the children's ministry wing (down the corridor to the right of the sanctuary).
10:30AM - 11:00AM
Children participate in the adult worship service in the main church sanctuary.
11:00AM - 12:00PM
Nursery care and Children's church is available in the children's ministry wing (down the corridor to the right of the sanctuary).
What will my Children do?
Sunday mornings involve times of teaching, arts, and crafts, as well as interactive games and activities. We aim to provide each child with a solid Biblical foundation by studying the entire Bible chronologically over a three year cycle.
Sunday Children's Programs
Nursery (0-3 years): We employ a nursery care worker to care for our babies and toddlers.
Wiggles (Pre-school and Kindergarten): Wiggles must be checked into and out of their classroom by a parent.
Explorers (1st through 4th Grade): Both Wiggles and Explorers are taught by Adult volunteers who have undergone a background check to ensure safety.
WHAM (5th and 6th Grade): Our older students are mentored by Senior high and college students to help in their transition to Youth ministry.
There are a number of Sundays during the year in which elementary children are included in the adult worship in the sanctuary. These are intentionally scheduled as part of our whole church’s need to grow to worship inter-generationally.
Answers Bible Curriculum
We use Answers Bible Curriculum in all our classes. ABC provides answers to the issues that confront today’s culture through the media, school, friends, etc. It provides a thorough understanding of the authority and primary teachings of Scripture. All ages are equipped to defend the Bible, and become conformed to the image of Christ, as they apply God’s Word in their everyday lives.
Key Concepts:
The Bible is Trustworthy - We can trust all of God’s Word.
God’s Attributes - God’s attributes are displayed throughout the Bible.
Chronological/Historical Teaching - The Bible presents true history, not just “stories.”
The Bible’s Redemption - God’s plan of redemption is woven throughout Scripture.
Apologetics - We must be ready to give an answer for what we believe.
Life Application - We are to live in light of what the Bible teaches.
